The guest speaker for our September meeting is Thomas Goss, who served as Chief Operating Officer at Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin hospital in Milledgeville has been selected to be the new Chief Executive Officer at Putnam General Hospital in Eatonton.

Goss will replace Alan Horton, who is retiring after serving as CEO of Putnam General Hospital for 12 years.

Goss assumed his new job on June 1.
The new CEO has an impressive clinical and operational background, which includes emergency medical services as an EMT, as well as the nursing side, where, in the past, he worked as a registered nurse and later rose to a leadership position as nursing director.

Members of the Putnam County Hospital Authority said Goss’s vast clinical experience and executive leadership positions make him the ideal person to lead PGH as the hospital continues to enhance services and expand access to healthcare in a growing community.
